ABOUT THE GAME

A short, unfinished project for Spooktober Visual Novel Game Jam 2024! I was actually just tapped to compose some music for this and a couple of other projects, but at some point, communication broke down, and things didn't get finished. I didn't want to see everyone's hard work go to waste though, so I'm putting out what we got!

This takes place during a Halloween rave, where some of the really good-looking demon costumes aren't costumes at all! It features primarily LGBT characters, oh, and demons. It's got demons. And rave music.

BEHIND THE SCENE

There was too much heart put into this for things to fall apart, so the programmer uploaded the code for me. Dewgumdrop, you're a legend for making it possible to put out what we have! I downloaded and figured out how to make a build in Ren'Py, cobbled together the assets from our Discord, redid the music track playback by just renaming the MP3s since I don't feel like looking through code and learning something this close to the deadline, and made a quick itch.io store graphic in GIMP! No biggie hahaha!

I just want to thank anyone who continued to read this far, and especially those reading the credits and hopefully checking out the game in your browser (or the Win or Mac downloadable builds). It really means a lot to us.

Art deserves to be seen, stories deserve to be told, music and sound deserve to be heard, and the code is what makes that all possible in this medium. Everyone on this team was amazing, and I was humbled to work amongst them. Seriously, amazing job, everyone! While we may not win any awards, we showed up to the party with our heads high and did it with some style! I hope I get to work with y'all again in the future! ♥
